Lyrics

Verse 1
There’s only One who’s worthy
To open up the scroll:
The Lion, Son of David,
Who came to make us whole;
Christ Jesus, who is risen,
The holy Lamb of God;
Eternal Lord of heaven,
Who bought us with His blood.

Chorus
O praise the Lamb,
The Son of God.
Creator, Lord of all,
He is the Great I AM.

Verse 2
Our God in heaven saved us
When we were dead in sin.
The Son stepped down from glory
To change us from within.
God’s love and wrath united
In Christ, the crucified.
Our guilt was placed upon Him,
The One who gave His life.

Verse 3
All glory, praise, and honor
To Christ, our risen King,
The One who rules in heaven;
Oh, hear His praises ring!
Our songs of praise we offer
Throughout eternity
To Father, Son, and Spirit,
The blessed Trinity!

Optional Extended Ending — Blessed Assurance
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
